exercises. He has had very few back problems since starting
this routine. This exercising has been a real treasure to him. He
often urged me to join in, but I neglected to do so. After my
chiropractic adjustments I had this dream:
My husband is driving my car down the street, talking to me about how to drive it. We see a new store, "The Treasury." He drives right into the carpeting department. (This treasure might help our sex life, petting!) We leave my car to be washed. We go up on the escalator. I am looking at swimming suits, then I am looking for a jumpsuit in women’s wear. I don’t find any, and then I can’t find my husband. He’s telling me how to drive my car; that is, he has a suggestion for me on how to direct my body. It is a treasure. I should look for swimming and jumping. Like the escalator, they would give me a lift. There was a teacher who, due to overwork, dreamed she was knocking herself dead chasing after her students. Other people with low vitality have had similar dreams. Here’s one. This dreamer needed energy: I’m at the service station getting gas. Some robbers come and start to steal all the fuel. Once when I was feeling very tired but had work at school I felt had to be done, I had this dream: Halfway to school my car runs out of gas (no energy). I push the car the rest of the way to work. When I walk into the teachers’ workroom, none of the regular teachers are there. Everyone else has called a substitute! That morning when I woke up, I realized that no one else would push himself to work feeling like I do. I called a substitute. A mother, wife, nurse had the following dream, pointing up her need for more vitality: It begins with a typical hassle getting my children off to school (the strains of mothering). Then I am walking with a girl. We come to an old frame house that is a kind of help station. The girl calls it, "Two Roses Place" (dreamer had two labors of love, her family and her nursing). The girl has two flags on sticks, one flag is faded green, the other very faded yellow. She says, "Yellow is for vitality, green for virility." She sticks the flags in the lawn. I say, "That yellow isn’t very bright." She says, "I know, my yellow never is very bright." I am thinking, "I’ve seen yellow much brighter than that and 153
