I am a mermaid. I have lived for 2000 years in a kingdom under the sea. I had once been in love but my lover died. Now I comb the sea searching for him. One day, I come across a man fishing. I begin talking to him. He is startled but he talks with me. He seems lonely! Every day he comes back to this same place and we swim and talk together. We become very close. Then one day, he doesn't come, nor the next. I hear two fishermen talking about a young boy who had drowned there two days ago. They said he had gone crazy, talking of uniting himself with his mermaid. They said he had gone searching for her one night and had drowned. They said he wanted to tell her that he loved her and that while she had searched for her lover, he had searched for her in many forms. Hearing this, I cry and cry. Then I see a face below me in the water beckoning me. It is he. We are united. Finally I am finished searching and am fulfilled.

I see kids by a stream. They are catching fish and mutilating them. I tell them to stop but they won't.
