While on vacation one gal dreamed: Im at a table and in walks a pig in a dress. It is my pet pig and I think it is just darling. I am showing it to my visiting in-laws. I can hardly wait to take it home and show it to my children. Then I realize that it is just a baby pig now and that is why it is so cute. But if I keep it, it will grow to be a big fat pig. I realize what a problem a big pig would be around home! In other words, it is okay, within-the-law, to be a little piggy while on vacation. But it would become a big fat problem if continued at home! If you are eating too much, or not enough, of something, you will dream about it. If it is a real diet problem not being dealt with, there will be a series of dreams. Some will tell what youre doing wrong and some will tell what to do about it. Here is a series of dreams all from the same dreamer. See if you can tell what they mean: (1) I hear a radio announcer asking people to send in recipes for hamburger or cottage cheese innovations. I pick out four small pieces of steak, even though there are five in my family. (This is what I really do because I feel meat is too expensive for me. I eat just a bite or two off each piece.) While the butcher is getting paper to wrap the four steaks, he shows me a large piece. I think of the cost and say, "No thanks." He wraps the large steak and puts it in my cart anyway. My mother appears behind me and asks, "Why did you let him do that?" I say, "Well, I want to keep shopping here and I dont want him to be mad at me." Would you say she needed to "beef up" her diet with meat and protein? All that was needed to figure that out was to keep a dream journal and go back and read it. That is how to discover dreams in a series, which will be scattered in between dreams about other topics. Mothers often dream dietary advice for their children. One mother dreamed up a cottage cheese, apricot and walnut salad for her teen-aged daughters lunch. In the dream she "realized" it was because the apricots had lots of iron. This served to draw her attention to her daughters increasing need for iron, due to the monthly loss of blood. As the body is the vehicle carrying the soul through life, a 150
